Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Team Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Continuous Improvement team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Lean Process Engineers across various manufacturing areas, driving process improvements, and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop a Team: Manage and coach a team of Lean Process Engineers, promoting learning and development, and setting objectives to drive performance improvement.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement improved methods and procedures to drive business results.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing Strategy: Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including set-up reduction, workplace organization, process control, and standardized work.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Lead cross-functional teams to support Kaizen and Lean Action Work-out events, driving business results and improving manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and Implement Improvement Plans: Create, review, and update improvement plans to drive business results and improve manufacturing operations.
  • Exceptional Organizational and Project Management Skills: Demonstrate ability to lead programs and projects, with a strong focus on organizational and project management skills.
  • Continuous Improvement Principles: Demonstrate awareness of Continuous Improvement principles, including Effective Line Management, Built-in Quality, Failure Mode & Effect Analysis, Rate Manufacture (Takt & Flow), Kaizen, Standardized Work, Problem Solving, and 5S - Workplace Organization.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or Trade school certificate/degree and direct hands-on experience in manufacturing).
