Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our team at Reed. As a Claims Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth resolution of insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Claims Administration: Assist Casualty Adjusters with the administration of claims, ensuring accurate data capture and timely processing.
  • File Management: Control the lifecycle of files to drive diary management and proactive handling of claims from initiation to conclusion.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with insured, insurers, brokers, and third parties to ensure optimum customer service and become a point of contact for interested parties.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce technical reports for Adjusters in compliance with professional standards and service level agreements, and provide Management Information for clients and internal use.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure time reporting and invoicing is compliant with internal systems and processes, and uphold company standards relating to all technical and operational policies and procedures.
  • Account Management: Provide account management support and handle incoming telephone calls and queries.

  • Technical Skills: Methodical, accurate, and analytical approach to tasks, with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and strong relationship management skills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure working environment and driven to meet and exceed targets.
