Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as a MHST Team Lead, working within the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in Mid Essex. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing operational and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and adolescents.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide operational and clinical leadership within the MHST, ensuring the team meets operational and clinical targets.
  2. Line manage clinical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  3. Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive team culture, promoting the core functions of MHST and IAPT principles.
  4. Facilitate the development of protocols and guidelines, working closely with the Operational Manager and Clinical Lead.
  5. Participate in the audit process, ensuring the delivery of services meets safety benchmarks and NICE guidelines.
  6. Act as an autonomous professional, fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (HCPC, NMC).
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a graduate training (nursing, social work, occupational therapy, clinical psychology) with appropriate registration of a professional body (HCPC, NMC).
  • Experience of working with children/young people with Mental Health or Learning Disabilities, providing specialist, evidence-based individual interventions.
  • Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
