Key Responsibilities- Ensure allocated business is in line with plan requirements for all Marine business written and renewed.
- Deliver volume, quality, and profitability of growth opportunities to the Line of Business, enabling them to hit their plan targets.
- Build relationships with brokers and customers, both internally and externally, as necessary.
- Perform and develop risks assigned to you, adhering to plan metrics for new and renewal targets, including GWP, NWP, Loss Ratio, Expense Ratio, Combined Ratio, and rate achievement.
- Exercise case-by-case judgment to ensure overall strategy and governance targets are met.
- Experience in underwriting and handling cargo and freight liability business.
- Proven record of underwriting a portfolio, including understanding metrics required to monitor such a portfolio.
- Well-regarded by brokers, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Results-oriented.
- Ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
- Competitive salary (dependent on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary, actual amount dependent on performance and Aviva's.
