Deputy Nursery Manager

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in assisting the Nursery Manager, ensuring the nursery operates efficiently. Responsibilities include fostering positive relationships with parents, children, and staff, while managing daily activities within the nursery.

With a commitment to delivering an outstanding foundation for early learners, the Deputy Nursery Manager will focus on executing the EYFS framework, maintaining a secure and supportive atmosphere, and driving ongoing enhancements within the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishing nurturing connections with children, families, staff, and the wider community
  • Facilitating smooth transitions for new staff and children
  • Cooperating with other nursery facilities to strengthen community ties
  • Assigning tasks among team members and promoting their individual strengths
  • Ensuring adequate staffing and resources for high-quality childcare
  • Assessing performance and fostering continuous improvement
  • Addressing the needs of the nursery and providing support to both the team and children
Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS framework
  • Experience in introducing supplementary activities that benefit young learners
  • At least a level 2 qualification in Childcare, with progress towards level 3
  • Familiarity with key person approaches, safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality protocols
  • Capability to administer medication, First Aid, and adhere to critical care policies
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve challenges effectively
