About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our team at HMP Highpoint South, a Category C men's prison in Suffolk, England.
As a Mental Health Nurse, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessments, initiate and review care plans, and develop treatment options for patients with complex mental health needs.
You will undertake medication rounds, assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences, and ensure that patients' physical and mental health needs are met throughout their period of custody.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to £38,115 per annum, depending on experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans for patients with complex mental health needs
- Undertake medication rounds and assess patients' physical and mental health needs
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Ensure that patients' physical and mental health needs are met throughout their period of custody
