Job Summary

Siemens plc is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our Design and Product Support team in Rochester. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing proactive product support and training to our valued customers, as well as supporting our project delivery and field installation/commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide internal training to Design Engineers / Field teams on our products and solutions
  • Daily interaction with internal and external clients to resolve problems ranging from simple to complex network, protocol, interfacing and data issues
  • Create and maintain reference and training documents
  • Assist with configuring systems to ensure compliance to specifications
  • Interface with clients at the pre-sales stage
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance testing with customers present
  • Fault find on systems to determine hardware/configuration issues

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in electronic engineering discipline or similar
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent problem solving skills and an engineering curiosity mindset
  • Good understanding of Network products and systems
  • Strong capabilities with PC applications
  • Good understanding of electronic hardware and interfacing
  • Ability to turn concepts into repeatable working solutions
  • Experience of working with protocols such as IEC104, Modbus, DLMS
  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external customers
