About the Role:

We are seeking an Airworthiness Engineer to join our team at Ifairworthy, based in Yeovil. As a key member of our Helicopter Division, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure the effective and timely completion of initial airworthiness processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collect and integrate inputs from Project Engineering and other technical areas for new type certification and changes.
  2. Propose type certification basis, liaising with regulatory authorities as required.
  3. Verify compliance documents to demonstrate adherence to certification specifications and environmental protection requirements.
  4. Coordinate tasks and scheduling for type certification changes, repairs, and validation processes.
  5. Collaborate on approval processes for repairs classified as minor or major.
  6. Liaise with Aviation Authority personnel and report on investigation progress and scheduled tests.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in design offices, military, and/or civil environments.
  2. Previous experience in Type Certification processes from a military and/or civil perspective.
  3. Relevant Engineering or Scientific degree or equivalent experience.
  4. Ability to follow well-defined engineering processes.
  5. Ability to work in cross-functional teams and make technical decisions.
  6. Time management and organizational skills.
  7. Attention to detail.
  8. Experience with MS Office.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Membership of a Professional Association.
