Job Title: Agile SEND Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Specialist to join our team. As an Agile SEND Specialist, you will be responsible for dealing with SEN issues that affect parents, children, young people, and educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use skills, knowledge, and experience to make a full assessment of risks, protection, and social care needs.
  • Manage an agreed caseload.
  • Use specialist communication skills to achieve optimum outcomes for service users.
  • Devise individual care plans, taking account of diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
  • Offer advice and support to unqualified staff and students to assist development.

About the Role:

This is an agency post, and Pertemps can offer you a dedicated consultant, easy registration process, referral schemes, and incentives. You will be working with a diverse range of education, social care, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Educated, professional, and possess a deep understanding of part 3 Children & Families Act 2014 and its supporting code of practice.
  • Experienced in working with children and families, including those from vulnerable groups.
  • Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
  • Experienced working with children and young people with SEN and their families.
  • Constantly striving for continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for children.
  • Able to use excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users.
  • Highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them.
  • Committed to providing our service users with a high-quality service.
  • Experienced in working on a multi-disciplinary, interagency basis.

Location: This role is ideally located for those travelling from various locations across the UK.
