Job Title: Operations Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our Asset Management division, you will be responsible for managing the Middle Office derivatives activities, ensuring strategic and operational risks are identified and mitigated, and developing quality processes to promote data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Middle Office derivatives activities, including Derivative trade management, Derivative lifecycle management, collateral management, OTC management, Private Credit servicing, and Securities Lending oversight.
  • Evaluate service performance of retained and outsourced teams using daily and weekly service delivery KPI/KRIs and take appropriate action.
  • Lead in all matters related to employee management, ensuring consistent use of management discretion and adherence to the Group's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure strategic and operational risks and issues are identified, prioritized, assessed, and mitigated within the function and outsourced provider.
  • Develop and refine quality processes that promote data integrity within the business, with a focus on continuous improvements to drive the development of the outsource model.
  • Proactively engage secondary service recipients to ensure service delivery is achieving standards for today and future business levels.
  • Work in partnership with Head of Department, Senior Managers/Peers, and outsource provider to develop strategy and processes for managing middle office retained and outsourced activities.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience of the asset management industry or relevant experience.
  • Continued professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices.
  • Experience of managing multiple initiatives/projects within a complex professional environment and delivering demonstrable business benefits.
