About the Role:
Axalta is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at our facility in Huthwaite, UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to Axalta Liquid Coatings Huthwaite Ltd (AH), including the Aberdeen and Belfast Depots, in maintaining and improving Environmental, Health & Process Safety (EHPS) requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and implement EHPS requirements and advise management on necessary actions.
- Assist management in defining EHPS objectives for the above locations.
- Investigate and report on incidents and accidents, and ensure compliance with RIDDOR regulations.
- Ensure all EHPS requirements are carried out as per the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy & Arrangements document.
- Develop and maintain a high level of awareness among personnel through communications, training, and active involvement in HSE/PSM.
- Ensure regular updating of personal qualifications and attend to personal training as required.
- Ensure compliance with the conditions of the Site's Environmental permit and train staff on environmental aspects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in process safety engineering or a related field.
- Holder of NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Certification in Process Safety Management (PSM) preferred.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience within the chemical industry is ideal.
