Mental Health Nurse

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate AD Hoc Mental Health Nurse to join our team at LeviCare Limited. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to vulnerable patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide optimal comfort and care to patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by doctors, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor patients' conditions, identifying any changes or concerns and reporting them to the relevant healthcare professionals.
- Build relationships with patients, understanding their preferences and needs to deliver personalized care.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and psychiatrists to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing updates on treatment progress, diagnoses, and recovery plans.
Requirements:
- NMC pin registration with no outstanding matters pending.
- Minimum of 1 year experience within an NHS setting post-registration.
- Right to work and live in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (support provided if not registered on the update service).
Qualification:
- Nursing degree.
Skills:
- Excellent observational skills to assess patients and administer medication.
- Good standard of English.
- Good organisational and time management skills to effectively update caseloads.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills to support people with varying levels of understanding.
- Good psychological, medical, and legal knowledge.
- Must be physically fit.
- Ability to stay calm and think quickly in challenging circumstances.
- Good decision-making skills and knowledge of mental health first aid for responding appropriately to patients during a mental health crisis.
