Job Description

Role Overview

Oculus Legal Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Real Estate Solicitor to join our team in a hybrid role. As a key member of our Real Estate – Education team, you will provide commercial property support to our clients in the education sector.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for handling property aspects related to schools' conversion to Academy status, Academy mergers, reorganizations, and general property work in the education field. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality advice on a broad range of commercial property matters.
  • Acting for landowners regarding Telecoms Code Agreements.
  • Managing your own caseload with growing responsibility.
  • Assisting senior team members with complex transactions.
  • Supporting marketing efforts, including writing reports, updating literature, and seeking networking opportunities.
  • Achieving budgeted hours and fees for the year.
  • Participating in short-term secondments with clients if required.
  • Conducting legal research and providing exceptional client service.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and commercially relevant solutions.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legal issues and developments within relevant sectors.
  • Proficiency in IT, digital dictation, and case management systems.
  • A team player with high levels of personal commitment, initiative, and a proven track record in achieving targets.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in project management and delivering process efficiencies.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Willingness to work in other offices or undertake short-term secondments as needed.
