About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training and Retention Lead to join our team at Swindon Borough Council. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Service Building Independence Service to increase productivity and improve employee skills and knowledge.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing and implementing an induction program for health and social care settings, working closely with the Learning and Development Team, and supporting learners through their learning journey. This will include initial assessments, classroom delivery, and one-to-one coaching. You will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of assessments practice and embedding policies and procedures into all learning.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a QCF level 4 or equivalent qualification, or compensatory experience in care management. You will also need to have experience within the social care framework, knowledge of the issues affecting vulnerable people, and an in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. Additionally, you will need to be able to participate in training programs and understand the need to keep within professional boundaries.
