**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Business Partner to join our team at Finning International. As a key member of our Senior Finance Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving our commercial interests across assigned business divisions/segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Drive and support the establishment of appropriate short- and long-term strategies to compete effectively in the current and future markets. Regularly identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the agreed strategy and govern accordingly.
- Financial Performance: Delivery of the overall financial performance of the business including the achievement of revenue, profit, and expense budgets on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. Meet financial reporting responsibilities, ensuring results, budgets, and forecasts are robust, appropriate, and auditable. Responsible for ensuring that all major contracts are commercially reviewed and approved prior to signing.
- Relationship Management: Develop strong influencing relationships with major suppliers (particularly Caterpillar) and customers to ensure maximization of the commercial impact of relationships. Key negotiator for dispute resolution and commercial considerations.
- Operational Development: Provide governance and support to sales and operational development plans/teams/projects, ensuring actions are in place to deliver growth while robustly managing gross margin and cost control.
- Commercial Propositions: Lead the development of alternative commercially viable propositions to stimulate profitable growth, drive operational efficiencies, effectively manage assets, and increase annual Free Cash Flow.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrable ability to analyze complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Education: Recognized Accountancy Qualification (ACCA, ACMA, ICAEW), Bachelor's Degree level education.
