Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Operations Engineer to enhance our client's global DevOps initiatives.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure that supports a worldwide platform, ensuring optimal performance and outstanding service for a vast user community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Platform Stability: You will be vital in upholding the high availability and efficiency of our international platforms, adeptly managing substantial traffic loads.
  • AWS Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create secure and dependable services, employing tools such as EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, IAM, and VPC.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Design and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, crafting reusable modules for streamlined and scalable deployments.
  • Prioritize Security: Work closely with the Cybersecurity Team to continually improve the security framework of our platform.
  • Promote Continuous Delivery: Actively engage in our GitHub Pull Request-based development pipeline, fostering a culture of ongoing value delivery for our users.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Employ tools like Datadog and Splunk to monitor platform health, identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.
  • Quality Advocate: Champion high standards of code quality and engineering practices that enhance the continuous delivery process.
  • On-Call Participation: Be part of a sustainable on-call rotation to ensure prompt resolution of any platform-related issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: We seek candidates with over 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Web Operations, or Cloud Engineering.
  • AWS Proficiency: You should have substantial production experience with various AWS services.
  • Infrastructure Knowledge: A solid understanding of contemporary infrastructure practices is essential, along with the ability to deploy and manage secure, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure.
  • Automation Skills: You should be capable of developing well-documented, modular, secure, and testable infrastructure automation that enhances efficiency and maintainability.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A strong team player with a keen desire to learn and expand your technical skills is crucial.
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
