We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Support Specialist to join our team at Maximus UK. As an Assistant Change Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to achieve their employment goals and overcome barriers to work.
Key Responsibilities- Programme Induction and Support: Assist Employment Coaches in conducting programme induction sessions, running Job Clubs, and undertaking troubleshooting activities to ensure individuals sustain employment.
- Customer Engagement: Make outbound calls to engage participants following referral to the programme, conduct welcome/introduction meetings, and gather identification evidence.
- Initial Assessments and Record-Keeping: Undertake initial assessments with customers, update records, and book them onto follow-up meetings with their designated Change Coach.
- Customer Support and Guidance: Sensitively handle customer concerns about joining an employment programme or returning to work, and provide guidance on employment training needs.
- Job Club Activities: Organise and undertake Job Club activities, including job search, CV preparation, and talks from employers.
- Employer Engagement: Support in organising bulk recruitment campaigns for specific employers and undertake visits to employers to resolve 'settling-in' issues.
- Health and Safety: Be mindful of health & Safety within the customer's workplace and actively promote and report (if appropriate) to ensure a safe working environment for all customers.
- Record-Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate customer records that are compliant with quality procedures.
- Team Support: Support Employment Coaches (EC) in re-engaging with disengaged customers, and assist with additional activities such as bus fares and follow-up Did not attends.
- Essential Qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade 'C' or above or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Desirable Qualifications: Member of IEP.
- Key Skills and Experience: Demonstrates effective questioning skills, including probing and challenging, experience of an outcome-driven environment, and understanding of how to affect positive behaviour change.
