About the Role

EPUT is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our team as a Principal Psychologist. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to lead and develop our service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to improve care provision for adults with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of psychologists and behaviour therapists to deliver high-quality psychological assessments and interventions for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Develop and implement care pathways and treatment plans to improve outcomes for service users.
  • Collaborate with community and inpatient teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective service delivery.
  • Provide training and consultation to multidisciplinary teams and agencies to enhance their understanding and skills in working with individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of a trauma-informed and responsive service, aligning with the Trust's objectives.
Requirements
  • Doctoral-level training in clinical psychology or Counselling Psychology, with HCPC registration and membership of a professional clinical body.
  • Experience of working as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, with a proven track record of leadership and change management skills.
  • Ability to travel across sites and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service users, and their families.
