Key Responsibilities- Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEMH needs, helping them to manage their behaviour and develop positive relationships with peers and staff.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Assist students with their academic work, providing additional support and guidance as needed.
- Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being among students.
- Collaborate with the school's pastoral team to develop and implement strategies for supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a PRU or SEMH school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
