Job Title: Transport Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Manager to join our team at Ideal Recruit Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of our Transport Plan and leading a small team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Transport Plan through effective management of people, planning, and resource allocation to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Ensure operational service levels are met and exceeded by achieving operational KPIs, such as 100% on-time deliveries.
  • Manage various data streams to support the operation and maintain strong business relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Hold an in-depth understanding of all commercial elements of each customer contract and raise competencies and performance in all areas of General Haulage activity.
  • Proactively manage attendance and absence levels within your team in adherence to company policy.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of General Haulage operations and logistics.
