About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Acupuncturist to join our interdisciplinary team at STEPS Rehabilitation, a purpose-built 23-bedroom facility providing high-quality care to clients with serious injuries and debilitating neurological illnesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acupuncture services to support clients undergoing rehabilitation, promoting pain management, sleep, anxiety, and overall physical and emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with our team of therapists, nurses, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and rehabilitation.
- Assess client needs and develop treatment plans in partnership with clients and the interdisciplinary team.
- Communicate effectively with clients, carers, and the STEPS team about the benefits and side effects of acupuncture.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of therapy and modify as necessary.
- Work autonomously with support available from senior therapists as required.
- Identify additional support needs and refer to other health specialists as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous documentation according to STEPS standards.
Person Specification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in acupuncture or a related field.
- Experience working with people with care and/or rehabilitation needs.
- Essential qualifications include a degree in Acupuncture or BAAC certification.
- Desirable qualifications include Safeguarding Level 2/3 training, Care Certificate, and First Aid Training.
