Pearson is seeking a highly qualified and experienced GCE Design and Technology Moderator to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our assessments.

As a key member of our assessment team, you will be responsible for reviewing student work submitted for GCE A Level Design & Technology qualifications. Your expertise will help us maintain rigorous standards and provide valuable feedback to both students and educators.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough moderation of coursework, projects, and special studies submitted by schools.
  • Assess school-based components when required, ensuring alignment with Pearson's assessment criteria and procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of one academic year of teaching experience within the field of Design & Technology at the A Level.
  • Possession of a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Exceptional subject knowledge and understanding of the GCE A Level Design & Technology specification (2017).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, enabling you to provide constructive feedback on student work.
