Key Responsibilities
The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the delivery of high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.
- Communicating effectively with patients to ensure their understanding and comfort.
- Preparing the surgical environment, including the setup of necessary equipment and instruments.
- Adhering to stringent infection control protocols and ensuring compliance among junior staff.
- Participating in the patient admission process to the operating room and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing support to the surgical team throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
- Keeping patients and their families informed about any changes or updates regarding their surgical procedures.
