TDM Recruitment is a leading international recruitment agency specializing in renewable energy and solar farm development.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Land Acquisition Manager to join our team in the South West region.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, reviewing, negotiating, and purchasing land to build solar farms and battery storage facilities on.
This is a dynamic and entrepreneurial role that offers a high level of autonomy to grow and develop the development pipeline on land.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and acquiring land for solar PV farms or battery storage facilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with land owners and land agencies to stay ahead of new opportunities
- Overseeing and managing initial site feasibility and viability studies
- Working closely with internal and external planning and legal teams pre and post acquisition
- Monitoring other renewable developments and grid connection agreements for market intelligence
- Contract negotiation for freehold purchase or option agreement leases on sites
- Maintaining a database of potential sites and keeping in contact with relevant agents/landowners
Key Requirements
- Degree-qualified and ideally property-related
- Natural born deal maker with a proven track record of doing 3-4 land deals a year
- Experienced Land buyer, land manager, or acquisitions executive with a background in sourcing sites for solar farms
- Currently working for either a solar farm developer, strategic land or resi
- Detailed understanding of the planning application and appeals process
- Strong network of contacts in the land agency world
- Determined, hungry, and ambitious
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and independently from the rest of the team
