Position Overview

As a District Training Engagement Officer at Sja's West, you will work collaboratively with the District Training Lead and other Training Officers to drive the district's training objectives. You will support Unit Training Leads (UTLs) in creating and implementing effective training plans that align with organisational and unit needs, as well as support the logistics and maintenance of unit training resources.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Unit Training Lead in ensuring that the training plan supports the development of our people, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  2. Oversee and maintain equipment stored at units, ensuring seamless training operations.
  3. Ensure sufficient resources are available for unit training to run smoothly, minimizing disruptions and maximizing productivity.
  4. Oversee the unit's training asset registers, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  5. Attend training meetings and district leadership meetings as necessary, staying informed and contributing to strategic discussions.
  6. Support the induction of new Unit Training Leads and the ongoing development of all assigned Unit Training Leads, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
