Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our North Youth team at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide Consultant-level support and clinical leadership in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex mental health issues in children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Consultant-level support to the Youth team, participating in multidisciplinary team discussions and interventions.
- Lead clinical governance and assurance initiatives to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our services.
- Develop and implement service improvements, working closely with commissioners and other stakeholders to enhance the seamless delivery of care for young people and their families.

Person Specification- Entry on the GMC Register.
- Approved Clinician Status.
- Section 12(2) approval under the Mental Health Act.
- Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST.
- 3 years or equivalent medical experience.
- 6 months experience in a relevant clinical area.
- Evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex mental illness.
- Effective team working.
- Leadership qualities.
- Flexibility.
- Driving license/able to travel independently.
