Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Technical Manager/Specification Technologist to join our team at our Heywood facility. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Yearsley Food team, which is expanding its operations across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and collaborate with the technical team and sales personnel.
- Oversee supplier relationships and product management.
- Maintain the BRC Agents & Broker and Yearsley Food Ltd Procedures documentation.
- Provide technical support for B2B operations.
- Review and authorize B2B supplier sites.
- Ensure the accuracy of product specifications, including Certificates of Analysis, pesticide levels, heavy metals, chlorates, and microbiological data.
- Address and fulfill customer inquiries promptly.
- Monitor and manage complaints related to all B2B sourced products.
- Conduct site visits to customers, manufacturers, and repack facilities.
- Support Quality Assurance Assistants and the Repack Manager.
- Ensure Food Hygiene qualifications are maintained for Repack staff.
- Collect products from B2B deliveries for review with the B2B team.
- Support all manufacturing customers.
Candidate Profile
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues and our global supply chain.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with a focus on detail.
- A genuine interest in the food industry.
- A valid driving license is required.
