About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of our information security processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sponsor and input to projects and initiatives to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes
  • Manage the Business Partnering teams to establish consistent, high-quality processes and practices
  • Report on the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of our information security processes and controls
  • Identify and implement remediation plans for any issues or risks
  • Deputise for the UK CISO as required
Requirements
  • A proven track record of leading and managing teams and projects, delivering successful results through teamwork, collaboration, and influence
  • A strong knowledge of cyber security concepts, principles, and practices, as well as relevant standards and frameworks
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Strong customer focus and the ability to understand and empathise with user needs and expectations
  • A high level of analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail

  • A competitive salary of £125,000 (national) or £150,000 (London), depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
