Job Summary:

We are seeking an Electronics Development Engineer to join our Andretti Cadillac Team at the Silverstone Facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design and development of bespoke electronic hardware and systems to support our on and off-car systems, internal test facilities, and rigs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electronic hardware and systems, including specification of on and off-car instrumentation and provision of technical input into the development of new technologies with partners and suppliers.
  • System Architecture: Engage in the definition of car electronics systems architecture, including system layout, I/O allocation, and CAN architecture.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve electronic system faults and provide technical support to the team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure the successful development and implementation of electronic systems.

Requirements:

  • Education: A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering/Electronics) or similar.
  • Experience: Experience with the design of low-volume prototype analogue and digital electronic circuits, use of embedded microcontrollers, and bare metal programming.
  • Skills: Experience with PCB schematic design, motorsport data logging systems, automotive electronic systems, CAN, and sensing technologies.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to plan and manage own workloads, clear and concise communication, self-motivation, innovation, and ability to work unsupervised to challenging deadlines.
