Structural Engineer Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our client's multi-disciplinary consultancy team in Cambridge or Oakham. As a Structural Engineer, you will provide support to local and national engineering teams on a wide range of projects, including structural surveys, report preparation, calculations, design, and drawing preparation for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support local and national engineering teams on various projects
  • Conduct structural surveys and prepare reports
  • Prepare calculations, designs, and drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial properties
  • Provide advice to the insurance sector
  • Assist with regional frameworks
Requirements:
  • 2+ years post-graduate experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment
  • Good working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
  • Degree in Structural Engineering or similar discipline accredited by IstructE or ICE
  • Knowledge of legal requirements, including CDM2015, Part wall, and Listed buildings
  • Experience in consulting engineering, surveying, architectural, and planning
  • UK Driving Licence
