Job Overview
The Electrical Assessor plays a crucial role in supporting learners in achieving their NVQ qualifications. Reporting to the Construction Programme Area Manager, this position involves collaborating with the construction team to evaluate the practical and portfolio work of Electrical learners.
This role primarily focuses on assessing learners in their workplace environments, ensuring that the instruction and evaluation maintain a consistently high standard. The Assessor will travel to various workplaces to engage with learners and employers, observing apprentices as they perform a range of Electrical tasks. It is essential that the work completed by the apprentices meets established industrial and professional standards.
In addition to workplace assessments, there may be opportunities to conduct assessments within the college, depending on the training programme's structure.
With the Programme Area Manager's consent, the Assessor may also provide training and guidance to groups of learners engaged in practical activities, alongside evaluating their practical and portfolio submissions.
