Healthcare Support Professional

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team at Seaford Medical Practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide wound care services, including recognizing wound infection and escalating to appropriate clinicians as required.
- Appoint patients into appropriate clinics and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct baseline measurements and maintain a record of refrigerator temperatures and cleaning schedules.
- Act as a patient chaperone as required and perform in-house testing of urine samples.
- Perform ECGs and maintain accurate documentation on EMIS.
- Educate patients on wound care and provide support to patients with complex wound care needs.
- Escalate any problems to the nurse team leader or practice manager.
- Wound care knowledge and experience.
- Healthcare Assistant qualification or relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting, preferably in primary care or a GP practice.
- Knowledge of EMIS clinical system and phlebotomy skills.
