Overview: Sussex CAMHS is seeking two dedicated and permanent Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrists to enhance our pediatric mental health liaison teams.

Role Responsibilities: This position is crucial in ensuring the delivery of a safe, effective, and compassionate service for children and young people aged 0 to 18 years.

Compensation: The role includes a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, along with a potential relocation allowance of up to £8,000. Please note that the Recruitment and Retention payment is pro rata for part-time employees.

Service Commitment: Our services align with NICE Evidence-Based Treatment guidelines for children and young people.

Clinical Duties: You will conduct high-quality specialist clinical assessments and consultations for children, young people, and their families within an Acute Hospital Setting. Collaboration with team members and hospital staff is essential to create and implement tailored treatment plans.

Work Environment: The position is based in a leading children's hospital and involves providing services to various hospitals in the region.

Professional Development: You will collaborate with other Consultants and Specialty Doctors within Sussex CAMHS and be part of a Trust-wide consultant network, offering opportunities to connect with colleagues across the Trust and develop professional relationships.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess an MB BS or equivalent medical qualification, along with excellent clinical skills utilizing a bio-psycho-social approach and comprehensive medical knowledge. Strong oral and written communication skills in English are also required.
