About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our Macmillan Therapy Inpatient team as a Palliative Care Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in occupational therapy or physiotherapy, with a focus on palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialized occupational therapy or physiotherapy services to patients with complex needs in palliative care.
  • Conduct holistic reviews of therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, including assessing, treating, and discharging.
  • Participate in service development and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in occupational therapy or physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Experience working in an acute hospital setting, with a focus on palliative care.
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • IT skills, including computer literacy.
