Job Overview

Care Support Worker in the Children's Emergency Department

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Care Support Worker to join our team in the Children's Emergency Department at The John Radcliffe Hospital. As a Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our skilled practitioners to deliver excellent care in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Main Duties

  • Assist qualified staff in the implementation of patient care programmes
  • Develop towards assisting the registered nurse in the planning of patient care
  • Carry out a range of patient care tasks in support of and supervised by a registered nurse
  • Record information detailing patient care given, under supervision of registered nurse
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and environment of the unit, under supervision of registered nurse
  • In conjunction with the registered nurse provide support to more junior colleagues
