Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and support to ensure that HR practices are integrated into the business and that all HR strategies, policies, and processes support our mission of delivering outstanding public services.

  • Manage complex employee relations issues, providing advice and support to managers and employees, and ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.

  • Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the workforce.
  • Guide managers through the performance management process, including appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently across the organisation and are aligned with public sector standards.
  • Promote and embed diversity and inclusion within all HR practices and throughout the organisation.
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects that drive organisational improvement and enhance employee experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role, with a strong understanding of HR practices and employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership and various departments.
  • Ability to provide expert HR advice and support, with a focus on driving strategic HR initiatives that align with organisational objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience in talent management, change management, and performance management.
  • Ability to promote and embed diversity and inclusion within all HR practices and throughout the organisation.
