Payroll Team Leader Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Payroll Team Leader to join CE Back Office in Cheshire, working in a dynamic payroll bureau and consultancy environment.
The role will suit an experienced payroll professional or someone with strong payroll expertise looking to step up into a leadership position. This is a fast-paced role leading the end-to-end payroll for multiple clients in an outsourced arrangement.
You will be working independently to support clients, with additional support from the wider payroll team at CE Back Office. This will be a full-time role, with a hybrid schedule of 2 days in the office (Tuesday and Thursday).
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver end-to-end payroll services for allocated outsourced clients
- Lead a small number of payroll administrators
- Manage daily workload and plans
- Be the first point of call for escalations on complex payroll topics
- Report performance to the service delivery manager
- Maintain client relationships for payroll services
- Strong mathematics skills and the ability to carry out manual payroll calculations
- Ability to run manual payroll calculations to include tax, NIC, student loans, and pension deductions
- Ability to process payroll from end to end, including year-end procedures
- Ability to use Excel, including use of formulas, v-look-ups, and pivot tables
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ideal candidate will hold a relevant payroll qualification
