Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Academics. As an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with students who have complex needs associated with Autism and develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the School

Our school is a specialist institution that provides a unique and tailored education for students with Autism and associated learning and behavioral needs. Our curriculum is designed to promote independence, social skills, and communication, as well as physical and creative development. We have a strong focus on implementing effective communication techniques and provide a range of therapies, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with Autism and communication needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support system for students
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other staff members on communication techniques and strategies
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the school's communication and therapy programs

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who has a strong passion for working with students with Autism and communication needs. The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related fieldExperience working with students with Autism and communication needsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
