Speech and Language Therapist

Pulse Healthcare is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in a brand-new state-of-the-art rehabilitation center. As a Speech and Language Therapist - Neurorehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality speech and language therapy service to adults with acquired communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing problems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Services: Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with complex neuro disabilities, including those with acquired brain injury, stroke, and other neurological conditions.
- Lead and Manage a Specialist SLT Team: Supervise and mentor a team of Speech and Language Therapists, including band 6 and band 5 SLTs, an SLT assistant, and students.
- Contribute to Service Development: Collaborate with the Head of Clinical Services to develop and implement a high-quality speech and language therapy service that meets the needs of clients and stakeholders.
- Deliver 1:1 and Group SLT Sessions: Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, creating accessible communication and swallowing guidance for the multidisciplinary team.
- Specialist Dysphagia Assessment and Intervention: Conduct assessments and provide intervention for clients with dysphagia, utilizing competencies and experience at a senior practitioner level.
- Qualifications and Registration: Hold a degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Professional Membership: Be a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy and work within the scope of professional guidelines.
- Experience and Skills: Have experience in providing speech and language therapy services for clients with complex neuro disabilities, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
