The remuneration for this permanent Speech and Language Therapist position ranges from £43,742 to £56,056 annually.

Leadership Responsibilities:
You will oversee and guide a specialized Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team within a modern rehabilitation facility. This team comprises band 6 and band 5 SLTs, an SLT assistant, and students.
You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of the SLT therapeutic services provided.

Client Advocacy:
Act on behalf of clients in various contexts, which includes preparing reports, completing CHC documentation, and engaging in complex DST discussions.

Collaborative Practice:
Engage closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), which includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, dietitians, nursing staff, caregivers, kitchen personnel, and activity coordinators.
Work in partnership with external organizations such as social workers, safeguarding teams, expert witnesses, legal representatives, neuro-navigators, and DST assessors.

Service Enhancement:
Collaborate with the Head of Clinical Services and senior management on initiatives for service development, quality enhancement projects, and clinical evaluations.

Team Oversight:
Manage the Speech and Language Therapy team, which includes addressing issues related to sickness absence, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing probationary periods in accordance with organizational policies.

Professional Development:
Foster a culture of learning and reflective practice within the SLT and broader team, facilitating and participating in training and educational opportunities.

Qualifications for the Speech and Language Therapist:
- Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
- Additional training in Dysphagia
- Further qualifications relevant to Neuro-rehabilitation
- Experience working with adults with neurological impairments
