We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic and rapidly growing designer fashion company. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to our financial operations and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately record and allocate purchase invoices in our accounting software.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier communications, including processing both domestic and international payments.
- Reconcile petty cash and maintain organised financial records, both digitally and physically.
- Continuously improve and streamline bookkeeping systems and procedures to align with company growth.
- Review timesheets, assist with payroll, and maintain staff records.
- Maintain and reconcile company bank accounts.
- Oversee and reconcile the sales ledger.
- Manage the company's credit control function, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding invoices and minimising bad debts.
- Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments, irregularities, and take appropriate action, including sending reminders and initiating legal procedures if necessary.
- Assess the creditworthiness of new customers, setting appropriate credit limits and terms based on financial analysis.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the credit control process to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss accounts receivables and potential credit risks.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible work schedule.
