**About the Role**

The Visual Impairment Team at Wakefield Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist Learning Support Officer to join our team. As a Specialist Learning Support Officer, you will provide high-quality support to visually impaired pupils within our secondary resource provision at Crofton Academy.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide individualized support to visually impaired pupils to enable them to access the curriculum and make progress
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Use assistive technology and other strategies to support pupils with visual impairments
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive practices and policies within the school
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

**Requirements**
