Job Title: Spares Supply Chain Manager UKI

Location: Flexible with travel (role can be based anywhere within the UK, provided you are willing to travel)

Reporting to: Director of Fleet UK & Ireland

Job Summary

The Spares Supply Chain Manager is a key member of the Fleet leadership team, responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable supply chain for the provision of spare parts and logistics services.

This role will work closely with Procurement to manage the development, negotiation, and implementation of existing and new supplier contracts and monitor and manage supplier performance against defined SLAs and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage spare parts contracts and any associated logistics services required to support GSE maintenance, repairs, and operations.
  2. Collaborate closely with Swissport Procurement to ensure best-value contracts are negotiated for spare parts requirements and any associated logistics services.
  3. Hold regular review meetings with key suppliers – measure performance against predefined KPIs contained within contracted SLAs, identify improvements, and drive their effective implementation.
  4. Provide recommendations regarding stock and supply chain improvements for both organic and contracted spare parts requirements.
  5. Provide accurate analysis relating to supplier spend, spare parts usage, and stock held, both owned and imprest stock, with recommendations on streamlining the supply chain.
  6. Lead supply chain and logistic support initiatives and projects.
  7. Collaborate with the Director of Fleet to implement the requirements of the Swissport Global Fleet Manual.
  8. Implement, monitor, and communicate regional/national plans that reflect Global requirements and the vision to be the industry leader in fleet management.
  9. Drive the development and effective implementation of Maximo Enterprise Asset Management system; focusing on the integration of spare parts supply and inventory management.
  10. Work with maintenance operations managers to drive the development and effective implementation of spare parts supply contracts.
  11. Ensure that lean 6S principles are applied in the workplace to ensure that spare parts stores are well-organized, clean, safe, and efficient.
  12. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, assist in compilation and development of Risk Assessments, and maintain a Safe Systems of Work. Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to relevant risk management standards.
  13. Drive an ethos of continuous improvement by identifying, communicating, and instilling best practice.
  14. Participate in UK & Ireland fleet management forums and workshops to help develop the Swissport Fleet Management System.
  15. Conduct audits as part of a structured plan, including action plans to address any areas of concern.

Requirements
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a strategic supply chain management role, preferably with experience of Ground Support Equipment or automotive fleets.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field.
  3. Understanding of inventory/warehouse management and electronic purchasing, ordering, and invoicing systems.
  4. Experience of working in a performance management culture driven by KPIs.
  5. Ability to work with key stakeholders in multiple locations at all levels.
  6. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; clearly able to articulate position with clarity at all levels.
  8. Ability to constructively challenge the status quo and manage change.
  9. Self-starter with a high degree of motivation and proactiveness.
  10. Knowledge of maintenance workshops and automotive engineering environments would be desirable.
  11. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  12. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  13. Hold a full, clean, UK driving license.
  14. Willingness to travel frequently.
