**Job Summary**

NHS Highland is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Allied Health team in Nairn Town and County Hospital. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver rehabilitation services to patients with ongoing care needs following injury or illness.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform tasks delegated by senior Occupational Therapists to deliver rehabilitation services to patients.
  • Work independently and jointly with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct functional assessments and develop rehabilitation plans to support patients in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with reablement and care at home teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence and self-management.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of three years' experience working as a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant or a similar AHP role.
  • Understanding of Occupational Therapy in rehabilitation, including functional assessment and reablement.
  • IT literacy and ability to use electronic patient records and other healthcare systems.
  • UK registered car driver with access to a vehicle for community care provisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
