About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Moulding Technical Specialist to join our team at Willcox Matthews Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing optimized injection moulding processes to ensure high-quality products and efficient manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Develop and maintain stable, repeatable, and optimized injection moulding processes for company tooling and materials, ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot molding processes and material or equipment issues, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet quality standards, and implement quality control measures to prevent defects.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to colleagues to achieve business objectives, and promote fact-based decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze manufacturing processes, identify improvements, and report recommendations to management.
  • Material Evaluation: Conduct trials for new materials, ensuring suitability with existing tooling and equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to ensure root causes are identified and permanent corrective actions are implemented to resolve issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in injection molding in a high-volume manufacturing operation.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3- Injection Moulding.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across different stakeholders.
