About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly proficient Senior Administrator to join our SEN school on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will lead and co-ordinate all administrative functions to assist in the smooth running of the school and provide general support services to the Headteacher and wider Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain support systems, procedures, and policies to ensure the school runs efficiently.
  • Undertake line management responsibilities and supervise the work of administrative staff.
  • Support the organisation and effectiveness of academy events, meetings, and visits, including preparing documentation and coordinating catering and hospitality.
  • Work with the Partnerships and Enrichment Coordinator to manage external communications, including the school website, social media platforms, and external newsletters.
  • Manage budgets and ensure financial resources are allocated effectively.
  • Coordinate complaints and act as the first point of contact for parents and staff.
  • Proofread external correspondence and support with document formatting.
  • Support the academy pupil admissions process in conjunction with the Data Manager and Attendance Manager.
  • Use and maintain relevant IT systems, producing reports and information as required.
  • Provide administrative support for staff absence, including oversight of support staff annual leave and the school cover system.
  • Oversee first aid practices and processes in conjunction with the Student Services.
  • Maintain oversight and access to appropriate training for administrative, curriculum support, and site staff.

Our SEN school is based in Bexley and is rated 'good' by Ofsted. We are committed to educating and supporting pupils to become confident and successful young people. We have an established leadership team in place and excellent links with the wider school trust. The school is easily accessible by public transport.
