Position Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Thoracic Medicine Department for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our Administration Team as an Administrative Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting both clinical and secretarial teams, ensuring that our patients receive exceptional service from their initial contact with our department.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide clerical support to the Division of Medicine under the guidance of the Chest Secretaries.
- Register patient attendances and update demographic information in the patient administration system.
- Deliver typing assistance to the Division of Medicine, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle telephone and email inquiries, manage scanning and postal duties, and facilitate patient bookings and follow-up appointments.
- Demonstrate flexibility by covering various areas as needed to support service requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
The candidate must possess:
- Proven experience in audio typing and strong keyboard skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and effective communication skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
- Level 2 numeracy and literacy skills, which are mandatory for this role.
- Experience in a busy office environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
