Health Innovation NENC is looking to recruit a Project Support Officer to provide support on a range of different projects across the Health Improvement, Economic Growth, Digital Transformation and Patient Safety teams.

**Overview of the Role**

The postholder will support the Legal team two days per week and the remaining three days of the week will be dedicated to supporting the Secure Data Environment (SDE) programme. The SDE is a new and innovative programme to improve access to healthcare data for research and development. The North East and North Cumbria is one of the eleven regions hosting SDEs and this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a programme of regional and national significance.

The post holder should have excellent organisation and communication skills. They must be an approachable, professional and resourceful team player and demonstrate self-motivation and a can-do attitude to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

It is crucial that applicants understand the need, within a small, diverse organisation, to work flexibly and with a team of Project Support Officers to deliver a joined-up service, ensure the smooth running of Health Innovation NENC activity and provide cover for each other.

**Job Title**: Project Support Officer

**Salary**:Starting from £28,700 per annum pro rata (dependant on experience).

**Hours of Work**: 37.5 Hours per week (Monday to Friday)

**Contract Type and Duration**:Fixed Term until 31st March 2025.

**Place of Work**: Flexible working arrangements will be considered, including working from home and office-based options

**Base Location**: Newcastle upon Tyne

**Introduction**

Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) is part of the health innovation network set up with the aim of spreading innovation at pace and scale across the healthcare system, in order to achieve the ultimate goals of improving health and generating economic growth. Health Innovation NENC supports several different Work Programmes including Digital, Economic Growth, Health Improvement and the Patient Safety Collaborative, all of which encompass a range of innovative and high impact projects.

Health Innovation NENC is a membership-based organisation that provides technology transfer services to its Member Organisations, which include local Foundation Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and local universities. As part of the services that we provide to our Member Organisations, we support the identification, harvesting, protection, commercialisation, adoption, and dissemination of healthcare innovation originating from within their organisations.

**Overview of the Role**

The postholder will undertake a range of critical administrative, analysis, implementation and reporting activities to support the organisation’s project and programme managers develop and deliver projects that enable HI NENC to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.

Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Project and Programme Management, the postholder will also have a reporting line into the project and programme managers they are assigned to support.
