**Job summary**:
The mNCEA programme seeks to address the decline in marine biodiversity by deepening the evidence on the health of our seas, providing policy makers and industry with a powerful natural capital evidence base make science-led decisions. Working with a wide range of stakeholders and in a multi-agency and inter-disciplinary team, you will support the continuation and extension of the current NCEA work as the programme transitions into its second year.

You will support as part of the mNCEA programme delivery team responsible for the overall delivery of the programme including; oversight of external (ALB) and internal (Defra) project delivery, board secretariat duties, RAID management, benefits realisation, and finance management, procurement, outcome mapping, project and programme planning, and a whole swathe of other project delivery activities.

**Job description**:

- Building and managing relationships with project managers, both internal and external, ensuring that their milestones and risks are fed into the wider programme plan, and they effectively interact with programme objectives and science ambitions
- Supporting the development of the programmes third year business case (Management Case) which starts in Summer 2023
- Supporting the twin track approach throughout Qtr 3 and Qtr 4 of 2023/4 which, requires preparing Year 2 projects for closure whilst simultaneously working with stakeholders to set up new projects for Year
- Working across the programme team with the science delivery expert and policy delivery advisor to ensure projects deliver to programme outcomes and realises strategic ambitions
- Working across the programme team to ensure, where necessary, Marine and Terrestrial NCEA programmes are aligned with opportunities for synergies identified
- Working across the programme to help support evidence gathering for benefits realisation plan
- Supporting governance to ensure the programme is being effectively managed for successful delivery
- Supporting the secretariat for the programme delivery boards
- Support management of programme documents such as RAID logs, programme plans, highlight reports, terms of reference and project document templates

**Person specification**:
**Project Management Experience**: (a project management qualification is desirable but not necessary) familiar with project management terminology and processes, who has a the ability to be self-sufficient, and who can organise and prioritise their tasks effectively.

**Problem-solver**:strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, able to use critical thinking to identify and solve potential issues, demonstrating a resourceful and proactive approach.

**Adaptable**: able to flex as the situation demands it whilst maintaining effective organisational and time-management skills.
