You will have commercial responsibility for a number of projects of varying sizes with an anticipated total turnover of £10 - £15 million per year.
Duties and responsibilities include:

- To take ownership of the commercial aspects of the project: full project lifecycle from contract award through design, mobilisation, construction, completion, handover and final accounts.
- Administration of contract delivery and management of costs:

- ? cost and cashflow forecasting
- ? effective use of MCR's
- ? supply chain evaluation and procurement (material and labour)
- ? contract review and negotiation
- ? negotiation, management and administration of sub-contract accounts
- ? change management
- ? drafting and issuing contractual notifications
- ? pricing, negotiation and agreement of compensation events
- ? production and agreement of final accounts
- Supporting the Operations Team with sound commercial and contractual advice
- Input into pricing projects at ECI, ESI or full contract stage
- Line management and support, including mentoring of junior/assistant quantity surveyors as required
An opportunity a highly motivated self-starter, to provide commercial support for our Major Projects Division (including HS2 works). You will be based around the Midlands, split between Birmingham and our Telford office.
Essential criteria include:

- BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent qualification
- Senior QS experience, gained from a civils contracting environment, working with NEC form of Contract in the UK
- A good working knowledge of MS Office (minimum of Word and Excel)
